the cave will have a rest until february the 12th.
Thus, we are closed for guided tour and we carry on the undertaken
works.

New lights for the cave
Since september, some more environment respectful lights have been
installed in the whole cave. We have chosen low-voltage LED bulbs (Light-Emitting
Diode).
This operation makes Clamouse the first cave in Europe totally equiped
with LED lighting. Thus, in an environmental perspective, this will
lead to less
energy consumption (a LED wastes 45 times less !). Moreover, this will
permit less heat emanation (nocive to speleothems) and will limit the
conditions of a photosynthesis process and so the development of
micro-vegetations. |
